Corporate Group Photo
I photographed a corporate group photo in Vail Village recently. Referred to the group by the
Lodge at Vail, I received a phone call on Super Bowl Sunday from Beth Ginzberg, who works for Gatelesis, a commercial aerospace company. Ms. Ginzberg said she needed a photographer the following morning. I photographed the group of 35 before they headed up the mountain and delivered a disc with the images that evening.
As I try to do more often, I asked Beth how she found me and how many other photographers she called. She told me she had called three other photographers who "never called me back."
The following is part of an e-mail message Ms. Ginzberg sent to the staff at Vail Resorts who had helped with Gatelesis' events:
"May I also mention that I tried to call the recommended photographers and they did not return the calls, there was however one that did and his name is Michael Rawlings. A consummate professional, fast service and a genuinely nice person to work with. Please note this when you need a photographer again."
