Fall Colors

I shot these fall color photographs during some family portrait sessions the past few weeks. My advice to families who are considering a family portrait session is to communicate with the photographer about your needs and preferences. As a family portrait photographer, I am happy to take charge, posing the family, choosing the locaton and determining what combinations of family members should be photographed, but I always want the family's input on these things. For example, I use the Rest Area near the Eagle County Museum quite frequently for both family and senior pictures. I've had my clients ask to have the railroad bridge, (seen in the photograph above) in the background of their photos. I've also had client say, "You're not going to see that old bridge in our photos, are you?" Communication is the key to having photos that you'll love to disply in your home.
